We're trying to conserve a limited number of days on our Eurail pass, and therefore considering using a "train day" to visit Versailles (from Paris) and then continue on our trip to Beaune (via Dijon) at the end of the day of sightseeing. Can anyone tell us what the travel time would be from Versailles to Beaune, and if there would be facilities to leave our luggage while we toured Versailles? Thanks!

There are no direct trains between Versailles and Dijon. Trains to Dijon leave from Gare de Lyon. Unfortunately Lyon isn't served especially well by Metro/RER. The fewest changes to get there is by taking the train from Versailles Rive DROITE (not the Rive Gauche station nearest the chateau) to Gare St Lazare and then taking the Line 14 Metro route direct to Gare de Lyon.
