Hi everyone,
We've got a 3 day/2 night trip to Paris planned for a few weeks from now. We're going with a friend who is obsessed with Napoleon.
We are planning on going to both Versailles and Fontainebleau. We want to see the fountains and since our trip runs over saturday and sunday, in an attempt to have a smaller crowd, we're going on Saturday and going to Fontainebleau on Sunday (the day we return home for one night prior to departing for Bavaria).
So I have three questions:
Are the crowds REALLY better on Saturday? (we're planning on getting there right at opening)
Do we have to reserve the tours to special areas in advance - Such as those that go to the opera hall? (we went on one last time but we bought the tickets that day at Versailles)
Is driving from Fontainebleau towards Germany better than driving accross from Versailles to Germany for traffic purposes? (last time we got stuck in traffic)
