Versailles online tickets

I am trying to order "passport" tickets for Versailles at the chateauversailles site on the internet. I cannot put my order through, because it keeps telling me that my postal code is invalid. In Canada we have 6 figures in our postal code. I've tried putting it in with and without the space between the first and second three figures, putting the letters in small letters, and dropping the last number so that it only has 5 figures. Because it won't accept my postal code, I can't complete my transaction. Any suggestions? Will I have to wait until we are in Paris in September and buy a passport ticket at a TI? I'd rather get it now and have it in hand! Thank you,
Joanne

Joanne, just before you buy, are you thinking of getting a Museum Pass, because it INCLUDES Versailles and the 4 day MP is only 54 euros, its a deal if you visit Versailles and one or two other museums or sites on other three days.
Museum Passes are best purchased when in Paris.

Thanks for thinking of the museum pass, but no, I wasn't planning to buy it. I'll take a look at it again though. My husband and I used the museum pass the last time we were in Paris, but I'm taking my daughter this time and I don't think we'll go to many museums. Has anyone else had the problem of buying Versailles tickets online and the site not accepting your postal code? Joanne

Are you using this site? http://billetterie.chateauversailles.fr/index-css5-chateauversailles-lgen-pg1.html I just went through the process with made-up info as far as I could without actually committing to the purchase and didn't have any trouble. I chose Canada from the 'Country' drop-down list and entered a Montreal postal code (3 alphanumeric characters space 3 more characters). It accepted it fine and displayed the next screen, and I then canceled out before giving payment info.

Yes, this is the site I'm trying to use. It accepts my postal code when I register for an account, but when I get to the screen where I fill in our names and postal code, hit confirm, I get the message that our postal codes (mine and my daughter's are the same) are not valid. Joanne Now that my daughter and I have discussed this, I think we have decided that we'll get a Museum Pass instead. I know that it can be bought in Paris at a Museum or TI or FNAC store, but is it possible to buy it ahead of time? I like to have as much paid for and in my hands ahead of the trip, as I can. Thank you!

Even though you've decided to get a Museum Pass, you might take a couple minutes to use the following contact form to describe the problem you had trying to book tickers online. There could actually be something broken in their online booking process, and they may not realize it. Reporting it could save other travelers the struggle you had. http://en.chateauversailles.fr/contacts/contact-us

I received a reply from the Versailles website saying that currently a foreign ZIP code cannot be entered on their site. At step 2 of the process one is to enter: 78000. Their IT team is working on the problem. Hope this will help someone else experiencing the problem I had. Joanne
