Versailles for Les Grandes Eaux Nocturnes or fireworks display

Has anyone attended either of these events? My sister and nieces are going to Paris courtesy of Make A Wish Foundation and I'd like to add something special to their trip. Any information would be appreciated!

While I didn't attend, it DID affect our visit to the Chateau since the gardens closed at 6 PM on a Saturday. I'm about to start a topic about that so others can be alerted and avoid the disappointment we encountered.
