We visited Versailles last Summer and experienced something I'm interested if others have. Down in the area where Marie Antoinette built her village, there is this peaceful, youthful, quiet energy permeating the area. I wouldn't doubt it if psychics said it's built over an energy vortex. Has anyone else felt this or heard about this?
I didn't put that much thought into it, but I did notice that I really wanted to stay in the village and just hang out. It had a 'good vibe' to me.
I've heard people say the Hamlet is their favorite part of Versailles. I can see why. And it explains why it was hers. The effect has not gone un-noticed by architectural historians either.
It reminded me of the scene in Tale of Two Cities where the aristocrat runs down the little boy with his carriage, then tosses a coin to pay for the "damage."
We really liked the Hamlet. Not only is it very nice, we found it to be such a relief from the over the top size and ostentation of the palace.
I felt like it could use some perfumed sheep.
No,, I did not feel that at all. In fact Jean Paul if one is sensitive to that sort of energy, one would think you would sense the energy of of the many peasants who died draining that swampy land ... and this was well before Marie Antoinettes time. It wouldn't seem either youthful or peaceful I imagine. I think you were simply romanced by the place.
Indeed, the poor owed the landowners six weeks of unpaid labor every year usually in summer, right in the middle of growing season. That's how the chateaux and beautiful tree-lined roads were built leading up to the palaces. Free labor. What a deal the 1% had back then. Too bad for the others.
We enjoyed the village more than the palace itself. It was absolutely charming.
Ah what you're experiencing is the psychic residue of the hellmouth in that area. It's the same vortex from which spews the demon spawn known as "Parisian cab drivers." Don't be lulled into a false sense of security!
