My family will be travelling by car from Paris to Frankfurt on July 14 (Bastille Day) and were thinking of stopping at either Verdun battlefiels or in Reims on the way. Does anyone know if these sites will be open on this holiday?
Or should we stay in Paris in the morning/ I understand there is a parade on the Champs-Elysees? We have to be in Frankfurt that night for a flight home the next day.
