family of 5 (kids 8-16) planning on taking the train from venice to prague in early October. any suggestions on stops to make in between? We have time to make a few stops and and will go to Munich after Prague for about a week. thanks.

You didn't say how long you are in Europe. You could take the train from Venice to Vienna to Prague...there's another option of taking the train from Venice to Salzburg to Vienna to Prague. Plan on staying a minimum 2-3 nights in each location.

Thanks for your thoughts - our time frame is still a bit up in the air. We will be in Europe for 6 weeks and have about 2 1/2 weeks to explore between coming from Italy and going to France.
