Venice to Paris via Switzerland

We would like to travel by day trains from Venice to Paris spending one night is Switzerland ( perhaps Lucern ). We would like to take in as much swiss scenery as possible. We can either leave Venice in the evening on Thursday or the next morning (Friday), but we need to be in Paris on Saturday between 2 and 3 pm. Any suggestions as to which train(s) to take?

That should be a nice trip. Take the faSt Es train from Venice to Milan, 2.5 hours. At Milan, you take an IC train heading toward Zurich, but you get off at Arth-Goldau,m3 hours from Milan. At Arth-Goldau, change to the train to Luzern. Overall travel time, including changes, is a little over 6 hours. From Luzern to Paris is an easy trip, marooned 4 hours if I recall. I didn't look that one up for this post. You can save money by buying Venice to Milan and Milan to A-G in advance on Trenitalia.com, and Luzern to Paris on SBB.ch.
