Family of mine is going to Cadiz on a cruise. Rather than going to Seville for only a day, they want to do a pueblo blanco. They are trying to decide between Vejer and Arcos, both "de la frontera". I'm leaning towards Arcos, but if one has an easier bus schedule, that may influence. From what I saw online, there is a 9AM bus from Cadiz arriving in Arcos at 10:15 and a return at 3PM (and some minutes, I can't recall right now!). Does either city have any nice walks in the surrounding countryside?
