Valkenberg VS Luxemburg City

Hello, I will be in Koblenz, Germany area the end of April travelling by train back to Brussels. I want to stop in either Luxemburg City or Valkenberg (heard that is very interesting). Any comments on which might be the best use of my time for sightseeing? Thanks, Jane
