hi! I'm planning a vaction in November with 4 other adults and am looking into a 3-night rental. I'm beginning to feel a bit overwhelmed by sheer the number of Paris vaction rental companies that offer apartments! Has anyone rented from vacationinparis.com? What was your experience like? What apartment (ID #) did you rent? Thank you in advance!
Roshni, I have stayed in one of the studios in the Rue Cler area and had a great experience. I would not hesitate to use them again. If the online information seems overwhelming I would call them to ask additional information and their suggestions. I was very surprised to see the prices are very reasonable and had not gone up from when I was last in Paris in 1999. I did stay the 5 nights to not be stuck with the cleaning fee. We stayed in ID2, Garden studio.... Brenda
Whenever someone asks for recommendations for apt rental in Paris, Vacation In Paris is always highly recommended by several people. We have used them and also I Love Paris Apartments; we were very satisfied with both.
The pictures of the apts on both sites are accurately represented. Vacation in Paris' offices are in New Jersey, so everything is done in dollars. You get the key to the apt prior to your departure for Europe.
We rented an apt in Paris (May 2008) through vacationinparis.com and were very pleased. It would not be large enough for four but vip was great to work with and you pay in US $$ and the photos are very accurate. I am not sure about a three night rental--we rented for a week. Our key was not mailed to us but someone met us at the apt with the key and walked us through explaining appliances, etc.
Hi Roshni--I agree with previous posters. We were very happy with vacationinparis. We rented ID 79 (I think that was it) in March 2008. A great experience!
I booked with vacationinparis in 2008( #118)and 2009(#162).Both experiences were great. I would not hesitate to book with them again.
We have used them as well and happily would do so again.
Among the advantages of dealing with ViP over VRBO or some of the French agencies, are the fact that you pay In dollars with your credit card (instead of depositing euro directly into someone's bank account), and you don't have a huge security deposit to pay and try to collect back in refund. You also con't have to worry about meeting someone in paris to get the key--they send it to you in advance of the trip, along with detailed directions. There is a manager available in Paris if you encounter any problems, but we did not.
I returned from Paris yesterday. We rented #162 and were very satisfied with the apartment, the price and the services of ViP.
Roshni - Our family used VIP and stayed in ID56 this past July. I was extremely happy with the apartment. It met our needs perfectly.
Go for it! We've used VIP twice and been very satisfied each time. In fact, we've booked again with VIP for a trip to Paris this December.
