Using an iPad in France

I'll be in France away from the major population areas and most likely easy wifi connections. I would like be able to use my iPad with 3G. I've been reading that it not easy to get a micro sim card through a French Telecom. Has nay used a micro sim card from a supplier such as Max Roam or a similar supplier? Here is the link.http://www.maxroam.com/Home.aspx?cur=EUR
Thanks for the help.

Is AT&T your service provider? If so, they have a few international data plans for the iPad ($$$$). Go to your account settings on the iPad and check out the plans available. A lot of hotels, B&B's, apartments, etc. have WiFi available and using the 3G should be a last resort otherwise it will be quite expensive. But, you probably already know this...

Tom, there have been a lot of comments posted recently about using an iPad in Europe. I suggest checking out a few: Making my ipad work in Europe. It was a little hard to tell from MaxRoam's web site, but it looked like it is charging about $0.80 per MB. That's not great, but it isn't super horrible, all things considered. You can do better. Check out the thread mentioned above and the thread that thread cites.
