Please note that according to the American Battle Monuments website, the monuments are presently closed, and will be until the government reopens. So if you're planning on going to Normandy, be aware that the American cemetery will be closed.

When we were there we had parked down on Omaha Beach and walked up the dunes ... not certain if cemetery was officially "open" but we just wandered in (I think).
