Us/French bank partnership

Before a past trip to London, my husband learned from an Xpat website that Bank of America and Barlkeys have some type of partnership. We were able to use out BOA debit card to withdrawl money at ATMs in London with no ATM fees or transaction fees.

We are traveling to France soon, and we were wondering if there were any US/French bank partnerships of a similar nature.

Yes, BOA also has a partnership with BNP Paribas, you will be able to find their ATM's all over France. They also partner with Deutsche Bank in Germany, and also Scotia Bank in Canada.

Vanessa is correct. Bank of America does have reciprocal relationships with a number of banks. BNP Paribas in France is one of them. I can't remember the name of the agreement between these banks but when you use ATMs in the home countries of these banks, there is no ATM charge or fee on your BofA account. We did this last year when we were in England. There were Barclay Bank ATMs everywhere we went and we used them every other day or so. No charges or fess on our BofA account.
