Here's another good reason to follow Rick's advice on having a current Paris guidebook (ours is '07): We bought the 20E 'passport' to see ALL the sights, but mostly b/c it included (we thought, acc. to RS'07) hop-on-&-off access to the little people-mover trams. (We walked all the way through the gardens to the Grand & Petit Trianons & wanted a ride back b/c it's MILES!)...only to discover we had to buy ANOTHER 3.50 tkt (6E roundtrip) to ride the tram! Our advice: Just buy the 13.50 tkt, see the main chateau, wander the gardens as much or little as you want, & leave (via your 6E round trip RER tkt).
Thanks for posting this. We don't get many cautionary tales for "cheaping out" on old guidebooks!
Actually, I MEANT to ask if the '09 RS mentions this change. I know it doesn't include the info that you can no longer buy a ticket at the RER which includes both train AND 'passport' I found this out through the helpline a couple of months ago.
