update on transpo between CDG and Gare St-Lazare

I've seen posts on this, but most are from previous years and i just need an update.

I'm scheduled to arrive at 8:25 AM at CDG July 13 (the day before Bastille Day) and want to make sure I catch a train to Caen the same day at 12:10 at Gare St-Lazare. Knowing that it will be very busy at the airport and train station that day, is it safe to assume I can make it using the RER to Gare du Nord and then the Magenta line to Hausmann St-Lazare, or should I take a shuttle or taxi? I'll likely have 2 bags (not large). How long timewise is the walk between Gare du Nord and the Magenta line, and the walk between Hausmann-St. Lazare to Gare St-Lazare?

Also, does anyone know what track and any other kiosks, etc. I should look for when I get to Gare St-Lazare? Already bought my ticket, which states that a reservation is included. Thanks in advance for any help.

According to RATP, the Paris Transportation site, it will take five minutes to walk from Gare du Nord to Magenta, four minutes to ride from Magenta to Haussmann--Saint-Lazare, and four minutes to walk from Haussmann--Saint Lazare to Gare Saint-Lazare.

Usually the track assignment isn't posted on a station electronic reader board until about 10-15 minutes before departure.

Based upon a whopping two times of being in the city on Bastille Day, there will be no delays/crowds the day prior.

Everything at the Paris stations is well-signed; you will have no problems figuring out where to go.

Thanks much. Is 3 1/2 hours between CDG arrival and Gare St-Lazare departure enough time? Just don't want to miss the train. Thanks again.

Hey, Gare St-Lazare is my train station! I think you'll probably be fine, assuming your baggage doesn't take forever to come out (I'm assuming you're checking since it's two bags).

You don't have to leave the metro/RER stop to go from Gare du Nord to Magenta, just follow the signs for RER E. It's all kind of connected, although you do have to do some irritating bag dragging sometimes! St Lazare is the terminus of RER E, so it's only one stop, and no need to worry about getting on the wrong one since it'll say St Lazare on the screen. The whole trip takes around an hour, depending on the connections and all that.

At St Lazare, the grandes lignes that go to Rouen/Le Havre and Caen are on the eastern/right side of the building (if you're facing it), on the same side as the main ticket office. It's usually voie 20-something.

Great advice-thanks again! I'm surprised there is no apparent "rush to get out of town before the holiday" as we typically see here in the States. It will be my first time to Paris in 40 years, so I know alot has changed. Merci encore.
