Thursday May 8 will be celebrated as "WWII Victory Day"...will museums be closed that day? Offices open or closed? Any thoughts on how this might impact a couple of tourists?

The Notre Dame web site says even it will be closed on May 1
I will be in Paris that day, too and am struggling to find what to visit.

Offices will be closed - it is a national holiday.
Museum closures vary and I would suggest looking at the individual websites.
Typically, tourist locations remain open - such as the Eiffel Tower etc. Churches are always open - Notre Dame, Saint Chapelle etc.
Store closures will vary There is usually a ceremony at the Arc de Triomphe thus it may be closed during part of the day.

I've done as suggested and checked specific museum sites for hours... all we want to see are open. I will have to check for the time of the ceremony at the Arc De Triomphe. Could be something to see...
