I've been before, but I met my husband at the tail end of a business trip and just kept his hotel room.
Now I'll be there with family and am looking for ideas for places to stay. Any place really stick out? We're paying under $200E/night for 4 of us in most of the places we're staying, so we'd like to continue that pattern. I do have a friend in Vienna who lives in the Leopoldstadt area. (I would ask her, but she wants us to stay with her and I don't want to impose that way.) Any thoughts?

We've stayed a couple of times at the Hotel Admiral wihch is right behind the Museum Quartier off Mariahilferstrasse. It's just a short walk to the Ringstrasse, Ubahn and trams. Lots of shopping and restaurants in the area. They also have parking onsite for guests. We will be staying there again in September. The Konig von Ungarn is a wonderful hotel with a great breakfast in the old medieval section just a block from St. Stephen's.
