Any suggestion? Do you need to take a tour or you can go yourself?
Is this one good?

Scroll down a little on this forum for the thread "Tulips in the Netherlands". But to answer your question, you can take public transportation from Amsterdam to Keukenhof gardens.
The garden website has all the information you need on getting there, ticket prices, exhibits, ect.
Last April(end of month) we went to Keukenhof Gardens and I still get chills when I type this today...it was amazing! We got the tickets and transportation info at the Tourist Info office in the Amsterdam train station: bus from Leidseplein to airport, transfer to another bus for Keuk' and the same back. Very easy to do on our own.
How long did it take you? Was it all day?
Kavita, I imagine we spent the better part of half a day, maybe 6 or 7 hours, total. Perhaps an hour transport each way and a few hours walking around the gardens. But I'm a big garden fan. There's a nice restuarant there. Bob says if you go, please bring back the umbrellas we left there when we had lunch.
Thanks everyone! Is there any train or bus from Rotterdam to Keukenhof gardens? Also after seeing the gardens I need to travel to Amsterdam Centraal. Please let me know if anyone has any pointers.
From Rotterdam take the train to Schipol Airport, and then take the bus to the gardens. To get to Amsterdam take the bus back to the airport then the train to Centraal Station.
KD; for sure do it on your own after checking out the Keuk website for transport [easy & cheap], entry $'s, etc. Most important if you have a choice, pick a nice, sunny day (there's no need for advance planning; nice day, just go). Even that beautiful part of the world can be a bit dismal in the rain and all the inside displays/restaurants tend to get crowded in such weather. And outside, you have to be careful when it's raining that you don't get your eye poked out by an umbrella.
Enjoy it. I was there yesterday, and my eyes have yet to recover from all those intense colors. If you haven't gone yet, it looks like the tulips have yet to peak.
