TSA regulation - exact passport name on ticket?

My wife, son and I head to Munich Sep 27. Any word on the TSA regulation exact name on passport must be same on the ticket? Our tickets today do not have full middle name on the ticket but passports do. Has anyone experienced any issues in our US airports headed out of the country?

"Secure Flight," the program you are referring to regarding exact names, birth dates, etc, is being rolled out slowly. Don't worry about middle names right now.

Unfortunately, this is the most misunderstood, and ridiculous, program TSA has ever started. No one is really sure what the rules are going to be regarding middle names, nicknames, etc, because every TSO is different and will interpret the rules differently--just as they do now in regards to most things at the security checkpoint. (I believe TSA writes their rules so ambiguously, that no matter how a TSO interprets them, they're right.)

As long as the first and last name match, and DOB, you should be okay. I'd bring along a secondary ID just in case.

If you think delays are common at TSA security now, just wait until Secure Flight is fully rolled out. If some TSO's don't realize that a solid deodorant does not have to be in the "kippie" bag, how are they going to understand the rules of Secure Flight?

(Just my opinion.)

I have had no issues when using my tourist passport that has my maiden name. I carry a copy of my marriage certificate and another photo ID just to be sure should any questions arise. You would want to have another copy of a picture identification for you and your spouse just in case and maybe a copy of your child's birth certificate. Hope that helps
