My mom and I leave tomorrow for our trip and I'm trying to square away a few final details before we go.
My question is about Trummelbach Falls. We are staying in Murren and we leave from Interlaken Ost (towards Munich) around 11:00.
Would we have time, if we left Murren early, to see Trummelbach Falls before needing to get to Interlaken?
If not, what would you suggest to do in that time frame?
You have just enough time for a visit. If you arrive at opening (8:30am) it will take you about an hour to tour it. Then Catch the 9:47am bus to Lauterburnnen, then then the 10:03am train to Interlaken Ost....arrives 10:24. You can check exact schedules at the swiss rail site:

Simply type "Trummelbach Falls" as your origin.
Hi Jesse,
We were in Murren in 2008. You would have to get an early start down the cable car to Lauterbrunen. You would need to check when the first cable car leaves. In Lauterbrunen there is a bus (20 minute drive as I recall) that will take you to Trummelbach. Then you may have a line of people to contend with. Yes, it is possible. But I get kind of anxious if I know my time line is tight. On a day similar to yours with regard to departure, my daugher and I got up early and took the cablecar a little further up to Allenhubel (sp) and hiked for an hour and a half back down to Murren. It was a lovely way to say good bye to Switzerland.
Do you know if there is some way to store our bags while we tour?

There is a baggage hold desk at Lauterbrunnen Station.
I'm thinking I won't have time to squeeze it all in, maybe we'll just explore Lauterbrunnen a bit before we leave.
