Does anyone know of a group or organization that conducts Truffle tours in Provence--especially around the Avignon, Carpentras area? We do not want a week long food tour, but a day trip to visit some truffle markets in the area.

There's a market in Carpentras on Fridays, but I seem to remeber seeing it only in the winter (have no idea why). Sometime in late January/early February they have a festival (seen signs only, no personal knowledge). There's also something similar in a town a little to the north called Richerenchis (sp ?).Not sure you would need a guide for Carpentras since it's easy to get to. The other place is umpteen miles beyond everything up and down back roads.
