Triples in Paris

Hotel Familia and Minerve Hotels in Paris which others have recommended are booked for triples. Any suggestions for Left Bank?

Not sure where it is in Paris, but have had the Hotel Cosmos recommended by an associate who lives in Paris, for our trip coming up in September. Just got the email today and haven't had time to check it out yet.

Debbie, How long are you staying? We just spent five nites in Paris, and we stayed in an apt rather than a hotel. It should work great for a triple. You could get a two bedroom unit, or get a one bedroom with fold out couch.

We found a great deal for only $90 EU/ nite right below the Rue Clair area; and easy walk to the Eiffel tower, one block to the Metro, greast little restaurants nearby, etc.

I agree with Steve. If you'll be there for 5 days or more, rent an apartment. You'll be able to pack less (if the apt has a washer) and you can save money by getting food "to go".

FYI if the apt has a washer, double check to see if there is a dryer. Not all washers comes with a dryer.

We will be staying three nights in Paris starting June 28. I liked looks and price of Hotel Familia and Minerve. Triple rooms are booked for those nights. Looked online at some apartments since there will be five of us, actually. I just have concerns for a first time try and distance from Seine.

Debbie, we have used Homelidays.com and VRBO.com to rent apts in Italy, Portugal, France, etc. with great luck. We have even done one night stays in aprts.

It is like anything else, Caveat Emptor, except Homelidays has a guarantee, if you pay a few bucks more.

If you have 5 people I absoluty would pick an apt in Paris. And don't forget, if you are close to a Metro, you are close to everything.

I would also recommend the Citadines chain of self-catering "aparthotels". There are several in different parts of central Paris at different price ranges: go to www.citadines.com

We had a triple at Hotel des Deux Continents (on the right bank), right around the corner from St. Germain des Prés. I think the street is Rue Jacob. On another trip, also on the right bank, we had a triple at the Hotel California (it was actually a suite with twin beds and the other room had a sofabed (which was quite comfy).

Hi Debbie..I would recommend an apartment too..We stayed in Paris for 6 nights in the 6th Ar...2 bedrooms for 4 people. I've seen the Citadine apts
in the 6th AR..it faces the Seine River...close to St. Michel Blvd..in the 5th AR (Latin Quarter).
We used www.parisholidayapt.com...apt was centrally located near the Pont Neuf bridge...close to the Odeon & Pont Neuf Metro stops and walking distance to
St. Michel's RER stops. If you don't mind climbing alot of stairs..check out their website.
www.rothray.com has nice aptmts too. You can also check out www.slowtrav.com for personal experiences from aptmt. renters (Paris).
