Triple hotel (2 adults/1 child) in Nuremberg in December

Does anyone have any recommendations for a hotel that has accommodations for three near the center of Nuremberg? I can only find a few. Some say kids are free if staying in beds provided, some ask for a fee for a child's bed and some say no more than two per room.

The child's age will be 7.

I thought I had posted this a few weeks ago, but cannot find it...

Hrs.com has a search function that makes this easy. Use the English spelling: Nuremberg. Select a double room but specify the child as well. You can sort your results by distance from the town center. (Bull's Eye at the top of a column.)

The ratings listed in HRS.com are only from those who have actually stayed there with a HRS reservation. They have been accurate to my tastes.

HRS lists 24 hotels for the date that I checked with the child in a separate bed.

I don't know your price range, but you could try www.hotel-elch.de . They have double rooms but you can request an extra bed for your child. This hotel is over 500 years old and located in the central area.

Thanks for the quick replies!

Hotel Elch looks perfect, but it is booked for the nights we need. I like that it spells out kids are free and you can rent an extra bed. We don't want to get there and my husband, daughter and I all have to share one double bed.

I will check out the other sites too.

OUCH - sorry to hear that. I booked a room there for December but I booked in APril right after I confirmed the cruise and I read that Nuremberg is the #1 Christmas market in Europe and gets over 2 million visitors each year in December. I thought the hotel had a good location and I loved that is was so old and so quaint. I don't want to stay in AMericanized chains when I'm in Europe. Did you try any of the hotels in Rick's Germany book - that's how I found the Elch?

Elaine-I decided to send the hotel an email and ask if maybe they'd have something even though the website said unavailable. We'll see...

I booked using email instead of the website. They got back to me within 24 hours. Good luck - hope it works out for you.

Hands Down - The NH downtown - new and very reasonable rates. Stayed at 4 supposedly similar category hotels (4 star) and given their age and location, the NH beats them handily

Ironically I just received an email back from NH Hotels from my inquiry about adding a child's bed. Many websites don't specify how much or even if you can add a child's bed in a room. It look slike a nice hotel.

I also got a nice quotes from Hotel Victoria, Hotel Elch and Albrecht Duerer Hotel. A few never responded.
