We are traveling to Paris, France will be there from 12/24/06 thru 1/2/08, then want to visit Vienna. We are looking at apt accommodations, it seems that the 3rd or 4th district in Vienna are good locations, but wanted to make sure. We are departing Paris back to US on 1/12, and was thinking it might be worth stopping in Munich for 3 days also on our return.
Our preference is to fly economy, any airline suggestions or other ideas you have would be helpful.

Under "other ideas" I'll mention night trains. There are direct night trains for Vienna-Munich and Munich-Paris. Take at least one of them to save yourself the cost of a night in a hotel and to have more daylight hours for sightseeing. Booked far enough in advance (up to 90 days) at http://buchung.nachtzugreise.de, you can get SparNight fares: 39 EUR for a bunk in a six-person couchette, 49 EUR for a bunk in a four-person couchette, and 69 EUR for a bed in a two-person sleeper with wash basin.
