Counting down the days until we arrive in Paris.! We will be staying near the Victor Hugo subway station on Avenue Raymond. I will be with a 24 year old who can be picky about her food. Any suggestions for good cafes in that area? Also, would love to try something on the Left Bank/Latin Quarter. We want to keep the prices as low as possible, but won't resort to fast food (ie McDonalds - don't eat it here) and also don't want to live on baguettes everyday. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!!
crepe stands especially in Rue Cler area.
We ate at Cafe Montebello three of the four nights we were in Paris, June 16. 18. 19. It is on the left bank, directly across from the back end of Notre Dame---same view as Tour D'Argent! They had a "menu" for 26 euros, the food was excellent, and the waiters were friendly. You can eat on the sidewalk in front with the Notre Dame View, inside, or in a garden area in back.
Linda, surely your 24 y.o. can't be as picky as my pregnant 18 y.o. niece! LOL!!! My niece lived off croissants, baguettes, and yogurt.
You can find plenty of food all over Paris... some with prefixed menus as low as 10 euros. You don't have to live off ham & cheese baguettes or crepes. My food budget did quite well for 10 days.
PM me if you have any ??s
