trip from costa brava to provence.

I wonder what folks think is the best route for driving into spain from the costa brava and west of there- towards toulouse and provence? Best=pretty, scenic, rural... thanks!!

Hug the Spanish coast until the border. Cut inland to Perpignan. Get back to the coast by Agde so you can pass through Sete. Stay as close to the coast as you can throught the salt flats. Swing east to Aigues Mortes. Cut straight north to hit Pont du Gard. Continue through Nimes to Provence.
