What's happening in Trier and area from May 12 to May 15? I've been trying to get a hotel room for May 13 and 14. I've gotten responses from two hotels--all booked up--and no responses from 4 others. I also checked Bitburg, and at least one hotel there is also completely booked.

Warpstock Europe is on from May 14th -16th. I am not sure what it is, but I am guessing it is pretty popular.
Have you tried the Mercure Porta Nigra. My family and I stayed their last August and it is a very nice hotel. We got a great deal, but with this event going on I am not sure if you would get the same rate, but it may be worth a look.

This official Trier website lists the many events going on in Trier. Seems there is a long running Moselle Wine Culture Days thing from 24 April to 30 May. I am sure that is a popular event.
The website also lists dozens of hotels, pensions, etc.
