I finally decided on which country I wanted to go to next year but am wondering how long I should plan for it. I was thinking one week but will that be enough time to go to Triberg, Regensberg and Munich or should I plan for two weeks. Also in planning for two weeks, are there any other countries ie Austria that I might have time to go into during the time I have in Europe
Depends on how long you want to stay in each place. YOU need to do some research as to what there is there you want to see. Regensburg is only about an hour and a half from Munich, so if your must-see list is not too long, a day trip could work. Triberg, on the other hand, is about five hours away, which would not give you a lot of time in a day trip. Better overnight or over two nights. The fastest routes appear to be to Ulm, then up the Danube to it's headwaters at Donaueschingen. The trip from Sigmaringen to Donaueschingen is rather scenic. I'd take time in Ulm to climb the worlds highest Gothic church tower, and in Sigmaringen to visit the Hohenzollern castle there.
Thanks for the help. I was debating on if I wanted to go to a country I have been to before like Greece or go to a new country. Going to a new country and seeing new things won out
