Traveling in Portugal

I responded to a number of people who were asking about traveling to Portugal and then suggested that they contact me personally via Rick Steve's personal site. My husband and I then answered a number of people's questions. Donna asked us a question but we were in Barcelona at the time and I believe that my husband responded to her saying that we would answer her when we returned. However, I inadvertantly deleted her question from my computer so I do not have any contact info on her. So, if you are Donna, please respond back so that we can answer all your questions about traveling in Portugal. Sorry for the mistake. We are currently living in Portugal so we have tons of information on things to see and do in Portugal. It is a fabulous place and more Americans need to come and see all that the country has to offer!

Hello, I am a single 50 yo woman traveling in Portugal the last two weeks of September. I will have 3 extra days at the end of an RS tour (ending in Porto) and am going back and forth between spending them in the Algarve or taking a flight to the Azores. Do you have any thoughts about either of these options? I think I will be most interested in natural scenery rather than historic sights by this point in my trip. Also, I'd like transportation and sightseeing to be as simple as possible as I am not a super confident traveler. I'd appreciate any feedback you can give. Thanks!
