Traveling from Charles De Gaulle to Orly Airport

My girlfriend and I are going to Europe in a few months. Our itinerary is pretty set in stone except for the final few days. At the end of our trip we have about a 1.5 days in Venice and then we fly to Paris before flying back to the states. We have a couple of options for flights and the prices are the same.

1)There is a flight that leaves Venice at 3:40pm and arrives at Charles De Gaulle at 5:25pm. This is convenient for us because our flight back to the states the next day also leaves from Charles De Gaulle. The downside is we get less time in Venice.

2) The other option is to take a later flight with EasyJet that leaves Venice at 8:15pm and gets to Orly Airport in Paris at 10pm. The good part about this is it allows us to spend more time in Venice, but the downside is when we get to Paris we would have to travel from Orly Airport to Charles De Gaulle to stay at our hotel, before leaving the next morning to fly home. Would this be a huge problem with traffic on a Wednesday night to travel from Orly to Charles De Gaulle? Or would we be better off going with option #1? Thanks!

The site for the OrlyVal is www.orlyval.com. Trains run every four minutes up to 23:00.

According to the Transports de Paris site, www.ratp.fr, RER B trains from Antony to CDG depart at 22:35, 22:50, 23:05, and 23:50.

There is only a $1 difference in flight costs. So the train from Orly to Charles De Gaulle would be the best option. How much time do you think that would take? What would the cost be?

Jon,

It'll take you about forty-five minutes. And disregard anything about RER C which doesn't go to either Antony or CDG..

Use the RER B line. Specifically B3, and make sure the train you catch northbound is the one to CDG (it will be clear) since the line splits NE of the city and you could wind up in the far beyond.

The last OrlyVal train departs at 23:00. The ride from the airport to the Antony RER station takes 8 minutes. The ride on the RER B from Antony to CDG takes 60 minutes. The combined fare is 17.90 EUR.
