Traveling by train from Venice to Munich is stop in Val Gardena possible?

Working on train travel from Venice to Munich. By what I gather...Venice, Verona,Bolzano,Innsbuck then Munich sounds like the route. I hear that Mittenwald and Val Gardena are places not to miss. Of course I'm like most, want to see more then is possible. With having 9 days what route would be the best for first time travelers to the Dolomites and Germany?

There is one direct connection, a Eurocity train, from Venice (13:34) to Munich (20:25) a day. By booking enough in advance, the Europa-Spezial ticket is as low as €39, with a seat reservation €2,50 if booked at the same time. There are also 4 other ECs daily from Verona to Munich with the same fare (you will need an Italian ticket from Venice to Verona). Each of those trains stops in Bolzano. If you just wanted to see Val Gardena for a few hours, you could start with the first EC in the morning, build in a stop of eight hours in Bolzano, and take the last EC to Munich, all for €39. Mittenwald is not on the EC line from Innsbruck to Munich. If you want to go via Mittenwald, buy your ticket for the EC to Innsbruck from Austrian Rail, €29 with advance purchase, get off in Innsbruck, buy a standard ticket to Mittenwald (€11/P), then buy a Bayern-Ticket (€21 single, €29 2-5P) for Mittenwald to Munich.
