Having some difficulty finding info on travel within Belgiumwe need to get to a small town name Meulebeke from Brussels (ultimately traveling from Amsterdam...). We would prefer a bus or train, i.e. do not want to rent a car. I know one of you will set me straight. Thanks!

Meulebeke is easy to reach by train. Head over to the Belgian Rail site for schedules: http://www.b-rail.be

I've never been there, but I'm guessing you will need to take a bus from either Tielt, Kortrijk or Ghent.

The closest train station is in Ingelmunster which is 5km away. Its a 90 minute journey with a change in Lichtervelde. The next closest train station to Meulebeke, would be Tielt which is only 7 KM away; on a different train line. From Brussels Midi station there are direct trains every hour; journey time 60 minutes. This is the one I would take.

You can catch a train to Roeselare which is close but not to your exact location. Check with Roeselare to see if they have bus service to Meulebeke. its about 8 miles away or 12.7 kilometers.
