Hello! My 10 year-old daughter and I would like to spend July in Menorca. We need to go Atlanta-London (where another daughter will be studying)and to Menorca from there. Ideally, we would like to be where the Spaniards vacation, so we can immerse ourselves in the language and culture (we speak Spanish fairly well but hope to be fluent someday). We also enjoy snorkeling and birding. My husband will join us for the last week. Any words of wisdom for how to get there, where to stay, and what to do are sincerely appreciated! Happy travels! London to Menorca is a journey where it is best to fly unless you have massive objections to air travel. A lot of airlines fly to the main Menorcan airport at Mahon: among the budget airlines I like Easyjet who fly there from Gatwick. Travelling from London to Menorca without flying would be a long and complicated trip involving two nights either travelling or staying in a hotel.
