I'm trying to find info on travel from Lindau, Germany to Appenzell Switzerland but am having difficulty due to multicountry transit. Anticipate arriving in Lindau by train between 1800-1900 hrs on Sat evening. Would like to continue by train to Appenzell that evening if possible. Does anyone know how approx travel time & how I can find out travel options? Thank you.

Using Kent's post on this "To The West" forum, dated August 21 and subject "How to Plan Your Itinerary & Determine Travel Times" I was able to determine that it would take 2-2 1/2 hours to go from Lindau to Appenzell. I'm not sure what Saturday you were wanting the info for, however, I believe his post will get you directly to the Deutsche Bahn site where you can access the info. Have a great time on your trip. Appenzell is absolutely beautiful.
