Travel to Amsterdam and Germany

I plan to be in Europe in late August and September for about 15 days. I was thinking of Amsterdam for three days. Travel by train to Berlin for four days. By train to Prague for two days then to Munich for several days. I thought maybe a few days in Salburg and Berchesgarten area. Have I planned the correct number of days in each area? I was stationed in Germany and have been to Munich, Nurnburg, Bamburg etc. My wife has not. We are independent but would like a walking tour in Germany. I might want to have some river travel also but am not sure where to start and end.

You probably want 4 full days in Berlin - so 5 nights there w/ travel time. River travel? A day or two after A'dam would allow for a visit to the Middle Rhine Valley and a short cruise there - www.k-d.com - if that's what you mean. Start the cruise in Bingen, end in Braubach, and you'll see the most in the quickest way. Be sure to tour a castle or two as well; Braubach is home to the best one for a tour: http://www.marksburg.de

How many days in Prague? I have never been there. I then plan to go to Munich I have been there in the 1970s. I thought I would travel South of Munich. Any suggestions? Would it be better to travel on one of the rivers from Munich or near Berlin? What is better Vienna or Salburg.
