Travel Insurance

In the past , We always buy travel insurance thru 'Insure my Trip'.I just worry that if I don't buy it then I will need it,so I bought it so I can sleep at night.I understand that the volcano ashes is not covered but will still buy travel Insurance. I wonder if this site that that I always buy my insurance is ok as I never have to file a claim in the past ( Knock on wood).Thanks.

I used squaremouth.com to compare different travel insurance plans. I too hope I won't need it.

I used Insure my Trip as the starting point and then purchased mine directly from one of the companies (Travelex) they picked out (the plan was more comprehensive purchasing directly from them.) Also, my understanding is that if it is a different volcano/volcanic event, it would be covered. I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.

We have always bought our travel insurance through American Express and have been very happy with our coverage. We had to file a claim after a trip to Australia, three years ago. They were quick and efficient.

I finally bought our travel Insurance this morning.
I did it thru 'Insure my trip'. I called one of the insurance and rate was the same as 'Insure my trip'quote. I got travelex select and was told when I spoke to a live agent that it even cover volcano ashes where flight was delayed. Hope she is right. at any rate,I just need to buy the insurance so I can sleep at night and stop worrying.
