Travel in Spain, no car

How large are the lockers in the train/bus stations? I will be traveling w/my daughter & sometimes I will not be able to check into my hotel & do not want to roll/carry my suitcsse around. I am taking a 22" or 24" suitcase. Also, what type of lock should I get? If the hotel says I can leave it w/them prior to check in, can I trust them? We are staying in Granada, Seville, Madrid, Toledo & Algecerias. Thanks!

a lot of times the storage is relatively small and expensive in train or bus stations. you can DEFINATELY trust hotel owners. many have special locked luggage rooms, or keep it behind the desk. that's your best option.

We were in Spain last month. Travelling on the AVE from Sevilla to Madrid, we stopped off for about half the day in Cordoba. The lockers in the train station were of various sizes and prices. We were able to fit both of our RS convertible backpacks into one for 3 euros.

We traveled 9 weeks in Spain in 2005. Took trains to and from Madrid,Sevilla,Barcelona and many other places and used bus to go to Ronda and Arcos de la Frontera, also from Merida to Lisbon. Did not encounter troubles of the sort you were asking about. Algeciras is a total loss-- avoid it if you can
