Bad idea? I spent 3 weeks of August traveling last year and enjoyed it, however it was rather crowded and much of France & Italy were closed for vacation. The weather was very nice but there were many places (restaurants in particular as well as wineries and champagne houses) that we could not visit because of vacation.
Is January a bad time to travel for a couple of weeks. I want to travel in Austria, Belgium and France in particular.
Does anyone have any experience with Europe in January?
