We are travelling from seville to gibraltar and would like to know the best way to go..whether it is on our own in a rental or with a group. We want to just do a day trip.
I would rent a car for just a day trip. You are looking at well over 4 hours (maybe 5) of driving there and back. Leave early and when you arrive park along the roadway next to the border (that's where we parked for the day). You'll walk across the air strip and then you'll feel like your back in jolly olde England! Wander around town and don't miss taking the aerial tram up to the top, it's breath taking. Watch out for the apes, great photos but they will bite. After you've enjoyed the views of Africa & Spain head back down and find a pub to eat in. Wander around and enjoy the sights. WE quite enjoyed our visit to Gibraltar and you will too. Some may say NO to a day trip from Seville but I say by car it is quite doable. We stopped in Gibraltar on our way from Granada to Tarifa.
Long ride and would suggest that it's not worth it.
