we would like to travel from Barcelona to Granada, the train is more than 10 hours and I haven't heard too many good things about Vueling Airlines. has anyone done this trip or taken Vueling Airlines?

Before you book Vueling Airlines, make sure you avoid the planned strike dates of Iberia. Vueling Airlines is a regional carrier of Iberia.

You can go by way of Madrid and it is less than 10 hours, although still not as convenient as flying. Maybe rearrange your trip so younaren't going directly from Barcelona to Granada?

I recently took a plane from Granada to Barcelona and had no trouble with Vueling.....except it took an hour to get our luggage after landing. The flight was cheap, took 1.5 hours. i would do it again.

Hi Andrea, Vueling is well-known here in Barcelona as its hub is the city's airport (El Prat). I've flown with them countless times and never had any major problems. They have occasional issues like with any other major or low-cost carrier, but nothing that should make you consider another airline or form of transportation if they are the cheapest option. They have a neat feature that gives you the option to send your boarding pass directly to your mobile phone so you can go straight to the gate and board using nothing other than your phone (printing your boarding pass while traveling can sometimes be a hassle if you don't have access to a printer). That said, definitely avoid them on the days Iberia staff are threatening to strike, as Edwin mentioned. That's from the 18th to the 22nd of March. Hope that helps! :) Cheers!

i took this trip in the opposite direction a few years back with train and it was fine. night train leaves Granada about 10pm and arrive in barcelona in the morning. you can research if the evening train is still available. when i was there i didn't book train ticket too early, just 2 days in advance.
