Has anyone used www.taxi2airport.com? I came across this site but I remain weary of what I find on the web. (I was ripped off by an online shuttle service in Paris, but luckily my credit card was refunded upon my return). Thanks!
Elaine, where are you traveling to and from in Brussels? The reason I ask the train is a good alternative there, and a lot cheaper, if your hotel is anywhere near any of the train stations maybe that can be an option if you want to walk, and if you don't a taxi from the train station to the hotel, might save you some money.
I'm just traveling from the airport to my first hotel in Brussels city centre. I cannot take a train with all of my luggage. Once I stow my things in the hotel room, I don't mind getting around on the metro or on foot. Thanks!
Elaine, I've taken a taxi from the taxi queue at BRU a number of times when I was travelling on business. According to the airport site, they estimate the cost at about 45 EUR. The site you indicated shows the rate starting at 36 EUR (which means it could be more) so it doesn't really look like there is much of a cost savings by booking a taxi in advance. Personally, If it were me, I'd just take a licensed taxi from the queue if I couldn't manage the train.
Thanks! Looks like I will play it safe and take an official taxi from the airport rather than taking my chances with a website that I'm not familiar with. Reminder to self: If in doubt, don't do it!
