What is the most efficient way to get from Loumarin to Santa Margherita the first Saturday in October? Car? Train? Combination of both? What train?

Lourmarin is about 100 miles from Nice. I am unable to assist on navigating that distance. However, once at the Nice Ville train station, it's a 5.0hr journey by train with 2 train changes to Santa Margherita. You can see the train runs on www.trenitalia.com. Enter Nice Ville and Santa Margherit-Ligure into the windows. Unless you have group of 3-4 traveling together, a rental car won't be any more efficient than the train.

If you already have a rental car in Lourmarin, you can easily arrange to drop it off at the train station in Nice (Ave Thiers).
