Any suggestions on a good place to overnight/tour between Klagenfurt, Austria and Geneva? We have 2 days/2 nights to get from Klagenfurt to the Geneva airport for our flight out. We'd like to see Geneva, but wondering whether the car ride from Klagenfurt to Geneva (8 hours?) doable, or is a break better?

The shortest or fastest route is via Italy. Klagenfurt, Venice, Verona, Lake Garda, Bergamo, Milan, Aosta Valley, then on to Geneva. Do you really need suggestions on where to break?An alternative route, equally as fast is via Salzburg, Munich, Lake Constance (Lindau island e.g.), Zurich, Berne, Lausanne...The 3rd route, about more more 1 driving time than the first two, is via Salzburg, Munich, Stuttgart, Baden Baden (Black Forrest), Freiburg, Basel, Berne... it's about 90 miles longer than the first route but it's all freeway and a huge part is on German autobahns...
