I will be doing 8 days of biking in Provance ending at Avignon. If you had 7 more days where would you go?
I was thinking of flying home form Rome instead of Paris. so I could slowly make my way to Rome.
I have been to Italy in the past and did enjoy my last visit.
Before the bike tour I will have also spent time in Paris and north west France.

You wouldn't be making too slow a trip to Rome - that's still a haul. But, assuming you'll be taking the train, what about stopping in Lucca along the way and do some day tripping in Tuscany from there?
