transportation in southern Spain

First let me thank everyone who responded to my last topic. It was a great help!
Now, I need to narrow down how many days to put on my railcard... does anyone know if the bus or train better from Seville to Granada? Has anyone travelled by public transport from Granada to Malaga? Thanks.

We were on that route over New Years. Personally I always think the train is better -- it is about 3 hr train ride from Seville to Granada. Of course the bus is always cheaper. It was under two hours by bus from Granada to Malaga. Your only choice. The drop into Malage will remind you a lot of the drive from Eisenhower to Denver. A pretty ride.

The train is great if it's convenient...but there are only 4/day....bus is very comfortable (much better than Greyhound), more frequent, and a bit cheaper on this run, but not by much. As Frank noted, bus is your only option from Granada to Malaga....1:45 to 2 hours, depending on which one you catch (at least 1/hour) and a fare of less than 10 Euro! And yes, a great ride through the mountains...as long as you're not driving!
