No need to do the taxi. There is a bus that will take you from the BCN airport to Placa de Catalynua(sp?) It was about 5 euro if I remember correctly. The buses run about every 10 mins or so. Taxi is fairly pricey. Have a great time in Barcelona. It is such a beautiful place, I would go back in a second. -Kim

We just returned from Barcelona- took a taxi from the airport to the Barri Gotic - about 20E. They do charge for each bag 1 E a bag I think- but we had our daughter with us who is staying for a school term- so 5 bags- taxi was a lot easier than the bus would have been.
We also took a taxi back to airport from the northern outskirts- again a 20 E fare- only 2 bags that time.

the bus is 3 euros.
