Transportation fron Paris to CDG

We will be staying near Place St Michel on rue Seguier and need to get to CDG on a mid-morning(arr by 11:00am) weekday. Prefer not to use a taxi because of expense. Also, we'll have luggage so maybe the stairs on Metro would be difficult. Any economical suggestions?

It's a very short walk to the St-Michel Notre-Dame RER station. Can you schlepp your luggage that far? From there you can take the RER B directly to CDG. I think there are escalators at S-M N-D, but I can't remember for sure.

RER B - Station St. Michel is just along the bridge at Pont St. Michel - not far from Place St. Michel and the fountain. There are escalators - a few stairs too.

Per person the train will be 8.20. The train runs every 15 minutes and will take approximately 30 minutes to arrival at the terminal.

There are 2 stations at CDG - most likely you are at Terminal 2 - second stop. Check on your itinerary.

Just for the sake of being complete, the RER B ride from St-Michel Notre-Dame to CDG takes 40 minutes. The RER B line divides northeast of Paris. Be sure to get on a train that is going to CDG.

I was just in Paris and booked parishuttle and had no problems. It was 25 euros each way (about $40 US dollars each way). You book and pay ahead of time online. the website is parishuttle.com

There were others on the shuttle and on the return trip I did say my flight left 1/2 hr earlier then it did - which I think eased my mind but I didn't need it - the shuttle went to several stops but I got to the airport in plenty of time

I want to thank everyone for there suggestions. I'm leaning toward using RER because of cost and proximity to our apt. I checked several shuttle sites including parrisshuttle and the AirFrance bus. The expensive services were willing to pick up at your site and the lesser expensive ones had set pick-up spots that required either a taxi or metro ride from our location. It looks like the RER station is a 2 short block walk. I'll scout out the escalator/stairs situation when we arrive in Paris.
