transportation from Rome bus terminal to Rome apartment

We are traveling with our 3 teens to Rome via bus from Sorrento, Italy and need transportation to our accommodations in Rome. Can you recommend a safe and convenient way to travel from the Rome bus station?

just grab a taxi, sometimes they take you around the block but that happens anywhere. If you have a map of how to get from the station to the hotel that will help. I've taken the taxi a few times (as a single woman) and haven't felt unsafe at all.

Check with your landlord for bus/tram recommendation that would get close to the apartment. Five and luggage could be a little tight for the average cab. If you don't want to take two taxis, then have three people take all the luggage and other two go by public transit.

Kathy, If you're arriving in Rome by Bus from Sorrento, your Bus station will probably be the one adjacent to Tiburtina rail station. If that's the case, it's easy to travel by Metro to Roma Termini. It's difficult to provide any specific information on getting to your apartment without having some idea where it's located. Could you provide some details? Happy travels!

Thank you for the help! We are staying in an apt. in the Pantheon/Piazza Navonna area of Rome. Do you know which metro would get us close to that location from the Rome Train station?

First off, the metro is the last thing I would use in Rome simply because it doesn't go near much and only two lines and does not run through the core of old Rome which is where you are. You need a bus. About the closest you could get would be Spagna (Spanish steps) and till a long ways from where you want to go. Again you most convenient way will be by taxi or at least a taxi from Termini.
