I am going to Dresden and will of course need to get from the airport to the hotel.
I will be travelling solo.
In an affort to save money, i'd like to take the train but am wondering how safe it is with luggage - I'll have one suitcase and one carryon.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Not sure how much you have read about Germany, but it is one of the safest countries to travel in. Pick-pocketing is barely heard of. Though I haven't been to Dresden, I can pretty much guarentee that taking the train is a safe activity there.
